♡ Heartdoll Intro ♡
Heartdolls were created to bring endless joy and love to the world by a young magician apprentice long long time ago who had lost her loved pet, her best friend. She knew that such things as necromancy do not brings the souls back as the same so she thought long and hard, studying thousands of books for alternatives because she couldn't bear the loss. She could not simply understand how this innocent and absolutely joyful soul had such short life. After many failed attempts to call out her pet best friend she finally found an interesting alchemy spell where she could combine a soul with a doll figure. She did not hesitate and brought out a beautifully polished doll body with rosy red cheeks and long curly eyelashes. The doll hair was curled into perfection and tied with a silk ribbons. She knew that this doll was the perfect body that he friend would absolutely loved. She cast the spell on the doll which was sitting in the middle of the alchemy circle and within seconds the doll started to float in air while the magician girl called her pet name over and over again while reading the spell with a strong and determined voice. She started to feel the friends soul being present in the room and then a big flash of light blinded her. When she opened her eyes in the middle of the alchemist circle sat now the doll, eyes wide open and the girl noticed something that wasn't there before, a curly willing tail and curious little cat ears sprouting from the dolls head. She called her pets name once more and the doll turned her head and smiled at her. The girl then knew that the spell had worked and she joyed laughing and crying while hugging her friend in her new doll body. The friend was confused at first of what had just happen but the magician girl was happy to show her new image from the mirror and the kitty friend blushed, amazed how perfectly she had picked her new body and that she was happy to be reunited again with her best friend.
The word started to spread around about this unique way to bring friends back and the Heartdolls became quickly a hit with kids and people with lonely hearts as they created everlasting bonds. As time passed there become new ways to create the doll bodies, the girls followers opened a school teaching future generations how to create Heartdolls. It wasn't a simple task though, one couldn't simply just become a Heartmaker. It needs a pure and clean purpose when creating a the dolls so selecting new Heartdoll makers is always a long process to find out if they are the right for the job. Dealing with animal souls is serious business and and respectful work so Heartmakers made sure that it would not be abused in any way.
A lot has changed since the very beginning of Heartdolls. Now days their purpose is to create, keep or rekindle a bond between people, their job is to find a person who you need in your life, as a mentor, friend, or even partner. Heartdolls are creatures meant to aid a person in finding a person that they can love in all varieties of the word, this can mean anything from bringing long lost friends together, rebuilding familial ties, or even helping people fall in love. They are also often friends already in animal forms and create deep bonds with people, therefore they often come back as Heartdolls as the want of their humanoid friends.
Heartdolls are spirits in kemonomimi doll body, though their soul can not get harmed their physical body can be if not treated well. Some Heartdolls may be made of more fragile materials. All Heartdolls need occasional care and like to go for repainting their features in Heartdoll specific salons. Those can be found especially in Dandelion Road. They also need their joints and hair checked out and switched out if the doll starts to gain many years. So technically they live forever if they can keep their physical body maintained well. If the doll body breaks beyond saving, the soul will leave the body and go back where it came from and can not be summoned again.
They are magical beings since their origin starts with magic and alchemy and they can learn spells themselves as well. Many of them use them for fun things and use very light hearted spells, never corrupted things. Heartdolls can not feel too much hate or mean thoughts because their minds are set to more peaceful and happy thoughts after the alchemy resurrection, though they do have their own thoughts, interests, ideas and opinions of things.
If there are more than one Heartdoll in a home they usually make friends quickly and romantically Heartdolls are quite open for any sort of partners. This depends of course on a person as well, but generally speaking, they aren't too picky about genders or species and connect in much deeper level. Sadly though these couples can not reproduce as dolls do not have the required organs, they do live happily together without children or adopt them to enjoy parenting. They aren't shy towards humanoid species and like to make a lot of friends. They also love to adopt animals as their own pets. Heartdolls themselves do not make new Heartdolls, it has to be outside species to do that.

♡ Appearance ♡
All Heartdolls resemble dolls, they come in varying sizes and can have ball joints on their limbs to aid in mobility. Their animal features are based on the soul which ever animal it was before it lost its physical body in life. Their bodies are typically made of a plastic like material, however in some cases there are some from more unusual materials like glass, wood, metal or marble. They are human in appearance other than the animal ears and tails that sprout from their bodies. On these animal appendages all Heartdolls have a heart on both ears and the tail to show the forever love that grows inside them. Some Heartdolls harbor remnants of their spiritual body in the form of wings, which can vary in size, placement and count. This quality can be found more commonly in the most youthful and pure of spirits. Heartdolls start at a normal doll sizes but can make themselves grow to human size by command, the height change is not permanent unless they wish it so.
